The benefits of working with Smartpro

Assessment Days

The primary aim of working in partnership with Smartpro Consulting is to give you greater confidence in your business and delivering coaching modules. Increased efficiency means greater earning potential - and achieving this need not be a lengthy process. Evaluation is key, and a Smartpro Assessment Day will quickly:

  • evaluate your facilities, and how best you should use them
  • address administrative and organisational burdens of running a professional coaching business, and advice of how to ease some of the pressures
  • identify business opportunities (e.g. new lesson programmes, the creation or expansion of a pupil database)
  • marketing - how to effectively market your coaching business to existing pupils, and maximise on client referrals.

Smartpro will enable you to not only work more efficiently and more profitably, but it can also help shape the way you work, and indeed when you work. By running an efficient business it should result in greater flexibility; and this can be aided by the introduction of the Coaching Toolkit.

Coaching Toolkit

The Toolkit is years of knowledge condensed into one accessible format; providing personalised quick reference materials, focusing on administration, marketing and pupil training. Unlike most coaching aids, this toolkit isn't just a series of fact sheets - but attempts to provide golf professionals with structured pupil training tools, to enable them to deliver effective coaching.

Training Days

Through one-to-one training days, the aim is to further enhance specific areas of your coaching business. And through tailor-made solutions, Smartpro consulting will:

  • evaluate your earning potential
  • create lesson opportunities
  • create effective marketing strategies
  • equip you with the tools for business growth and development

I have been successfully coaching full time for the past 12 years having worked at Sunningdale Golf Club as Head Assistant for 8 years previous to that. Every two to three years I find myself looking for something that is going to improve the standard of my coaching offering my client base something new and slightly different. Over the years I have discovered martial arts, NLP and the V1 computer coaching software package.

In 2006 having worked with a personal coach since 2005 it became obvious that my creative talents outstripped my organisational skills and I realized I had to address this issue. I then attended a PGA coaching seminar given by Sarah Claridge titled "The Professional Coach, is the Business", it was the most thorough and organised seminar I had attended for a long time and at the end Sarah mentioned that she was in the early stages of creating a package of assessment and evaluation of a coaches business. This would look for ways to improve organisational skills and communicational skills to give a perception to the student of interest in them and overall professionalism. I have now worked with Sarah over the past eighteen months and she has helped me to achieve all of the above which has led me to gain more enjoyment from my coaching and a 10% increase in my revenue.

If you work with Sarah you will get someone who is dedicated to organisational skills, forward thinking and consistent, a rare gem in the professional world.

We believe that by adopting Smartpro coaching strategies, you'll soon become aware of the benefits of working with greater efficiency. This is especially true as this coaching module has been crafted by a PGA professional, whose first hand experiences of being self-employed have shaped the way in which the tools have been developed, and how they should be implemented. The Smartpro approach is based on applying a systematic cycle of 'appropriate' business techniques and steps to enhance success.
